
ROGER FAWDRY
Director
Prior to becoming a founder member, director and first chairman
of the 1994 initiave, Roger spent over 25 years in the commercial and environmental sectors of the oil and petrochemical industries
in Europe. Initially this was with Fina plc, the Belgian oil company and latterly with Dow Chemical, the largest US chemical
company
After several years in sales and marketing roles in various European counties, in 1990 he became the
Dow UK and Ireland Director for Environmental and Public Affairs. Here his responsibilities focused on the development, co-ordination
and implementation of numerous programmes of environmental good practice throughout the company and the UK chemical sector.
He was an early and active member of the Chemical Industry Association's “Responsible
Care” programme, chair of the Chemical Recycling Association and a member of the environment committees of the American
Chamber of Commerce and the Institute of Directors.

CHRIS SHELDON
Associate
Chris has 17 years of experience of environmental and
sustainability management consultancy. His activities include writing, directing and delivering training courses in these
subjects for senior management in both the UK and international markets. His background includes:
Senior
environmental policy and systems advisor to the British Standards Institution for 5 years. During this time he was actively
involved in the creation and implementation of the environmental management standards BS 7750, ISO 14001 and the EU Eco Management
and Audit Scheme (EMAS).
Chair and CEO of the Acorn Trust that ran a nation-wide
DTI funded (£1.3 million) environmental management project for BSI leading to the development and publication of the British
Environmental Standard BS 8555 – now being developed as the international standard ISO 14005.
7 years senior policy management of Environmental and
Sustainability regulations/ standards/certification projects at the national, European and global level for the private and
public sectors.
Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, Manufacture and
Sciences.
Director and Council member of the of the Environmental
Auditors Registration Association
Frequent speaker/facilitator at international seminars,
conferences and workshops in environmental management, sustainable development and related issues.

DAVID PRESCOTT
Associate
David has an honours
degree in Environmental Studies and also holds the diploma in Pollution Control from the Open University. A Chartered Electrical
Engineer by background, he has over 30 years’ experience in senior management in BT where he led many high profile projects
in London and later the national service organisation for the Defence Sector. BT was one of the first major companies in the
UK to adopt ISO 14001.
He left BT to start a
management consultancy specialising in environmental management, and has secured a number of contracts, including an enabling
consultancy contract for the MoD.
Recent clients have included
Chessington Garden Centre where he has guided them through BS 8555 as a route to ISO 14001. As a result of their environmental
improvement projects, they have already saved over 10% of their gas bill, expect to save a similar amount of electricity and
have raised their recycling percentage from 36% to 80% in two years.
